we’ve got a series of funny and odd looking fruits and vegetables here. In fact, there is quite a variety of reasons for a fruit or vegetable to grow into weird shapes. The common reason is damage/scar tissue. The fruit can slow the growth in the damage/scar area and cause it to deform the rest of the plant.
However, fruits can be forced to grow into certain desired shapes by enclosing them into glass forms, although no artificially shaped fruits are shown here.
